It's not your average petting zoo with goats and cows and sheep. How about coming up close and personal with lions and tigers and bears (oh my) and cheetahs.

That looks like it would be fun

A friend of my dads when I was little had a "trout pond" and he had some animlas in pens lke raccoons a badger etc as a "mini zoo " he also had a bobcat that was "injured" that he nursed back to health but woudlnt be able to live on its own he had "keep fingers out " signs on his cage to avoid a lawsuit he told me my sis and my dad we could pet him through the cage he came right over and rubbed up against the fence and purred really loud when we petted him .

So, TG, this friend of your dad told you to IGNORE the sign and stick your fingers in? confused2.gif

I think this type of petting zoo is just crazy. IMHO, it's okay for ADULTS to sign away their rights and pay the $50 to risk a petting event with a wild animal. I also think that a child should never be able to have had their same rights signed away.

Wild animals are just that, wild by nature. You read all the time that dogs will bite if provoked. I guess I'd rather be bit by a dog than a tiger or lion. D'oh! And who determines what provocative behavior by a human will instigate a wild animal response?

Apparently, this was provocative enough to instigate a wild animal response:
