I like that style of guitar and they are both great, but in my opinion the first guy had a certain edge that made his work just a little better.

the first guy wouldn't do what he does without the second. michael hedges pioneered lots of these techniques; andy mckee even uses hedges' trademark harp guitar on some songs. michael hedges died in 1997 so it's great that other people are filling the void he left.
